Recently, the whistle may be a regulation in trail running competitions. However, the whistle on the market was heavy and hard to make a sound.

This product utilizes the strengths of a 3D printer to create a design that is impossible with a mold. Even with a weight of 2g, the sound of about 120dB came out.

The cross section draws a curve like an airplane wing, adjusting the air flow and drawing out the sound.

For strap-type whistles, single-chamber whistles are the mainstream. However, since it becomes a monotonous sound, it naturally blends in.

3D WHISTLE 2g is particular about the two-chamber structure. By using two air chambers, the sound vibrates and becomes a characteristic sound that is easy to hear.

As a problem with the two-chamber structure, the whistle was generally large and heavy due to restrictions on the production method. However, by adopting a structure that was impossible to mass-produce with a 3D printer, we realized four elements: strap size, ultra-lightweight, two air chambers, and loud volume.

A strap hole with a 3mm slit hole is provided assuming that it will always be carried around for emergencies.

■ Strength of 3D printer products

In developing the product, we reviewed the amount of resin filling and the mechanical structure to create a design that can withstand the expected load during use.

The whistle has undergone its own compression test, drop test, and impact test to confirm that it has the necessary and sufficient strength, but it may break if strong force is applied, such as being trampled or pierced by a sharp object. There is a nature.

Safety has been confirmed through strength tests, but the strength varies depending on the state of lamination, temperature, and humidity.

■ Material

 We use industrial grade ASA resin, which is difficult to temperature control and difficult to manufacture with a 3D printer.

While possessing performance similar to ABS resin, it has excellent UV resistance, high temperature and humidity weather resistance, excellent mechanical impact strength, and is a material suitable for long-term use, improving the quality of the product.

■Instructions about the product

This product is produced one by one with an FDM type 3D printer, so there is no same texture.

Please note that layering marks and layering disturbances unique to FDM type 3D printers may occur during the manufacturing process.

Since burrs and catches may occur, we remove them one by one by hand. However, if there are any burrs that you are concerned about, please use a cutter or file to remove them carefully.

■ Precautions for use

Although this part has been field-tested, we do not guarantee that this part will not be damaged.

Please use at your own risk and be careful not to apply excessive load.

The manufacturer shall not be held responsible for any damage caused by using the product.
